            Mattie is a pull-over top designed to be made out of knit.  It
has both long and short sleeves finished with a lettuce-edge ruffle.  
The shirt back has a short opening finished with a modified continuous
bound placket and two buttons.  The neck edge is finished with a bias
band and a lettuce-edge ruffle that substitutes for a collar.  If
desired, ruffles may be omitted.  If ruffle is not used at sleeve edge,
cut sleeves 1" longer and use a 1/2" hem allowance.  Shown with 
#267 Katie's Skirt and #273 Campbell pants.

NOTE!  Knits may shrink when washed.  Prewash fabric.  Fabric
     requirements allow for only minimal shrinkage.  Keep this in
