March '07 Inspirations

 

This is one of Carol's favorite adaptations of the
Children's Corner "Lucy" pattern (the original idea
was from Lezette at the Children's Corner).

Carol has divided the pattern into three parts, added seam
allowances where the different parts come together
and inserted rick rack as she stitched the seam.  Care must be
taken to match the division lines of the jumper front
and the jumper back at the side seams.
 
   

 

 

The fabrics are a cute chicken print from Free Spirit Fabrics,
a coordinating multi-color dot, and turquoise pima check
from Spechler-Vogel.  Rick rack is from Trimtex.

This is a great way to use smaller pieces of fabric that
are not quite big enough for a complete dress.
(Sometimes I think Carol could cut a complete dress
from a square inch of fabric!!!)
