Just for Boys 2

These garments were featured in the January/February 2006
issue of Creative Needle magazine.

 
The Blue Linen Button-On Suit was constructed
by Linda Buchanan.

 

Linda has done an
excellent job of stitching
up a little boy's outfit
that is dressy without
being overdone.

The fabric is Robert
Kaufman's Antwerp
linen in light blue, 
and the pattern is
"Boys' Button-On
Suit" by Ginger
Snaps Designs.
Pearl shank buttons
are from Beautiful
Buttons.

 

 
 

 

 

 


Three strips of tatted insertion are pinstitched
to the shirt front forming a border for
folded tucks.  We decided not to cut away
the fabric from underneath the tatting.

Elegant, yet still simple.
