"Pumpkin Party" Pocket Directions

            Cut the top band from black broadcloth.  Cut the lower
pocket pattern from the garment fabric.

 

  


                  Place the upper band on top of the lower pocket piece
        with the wrong side of the band to the right side of the pocket.  
        Place a piece of 3/8" grosgrain ribbon on top of the raw edge
        where the two fabrics meet.  Stitch along each edge of the ribbon
        joining the two fabrics together.  Cut a pocket lining using the
        pieced pocket as a pattern.  Place the pieced pocket and lining 
        right sides together and stitch leaving an opening on the bottom
        curved edge.  Trim corners and clip curves; then turn pocket right
        side out and edge stitch in place.
